SEC Commissioner Harvey Goldschmid expects to resume his duties at the SEC later this month after undergoing surgury for prostate cancer, reports Reuters. Goldschmid is planning to step down from the Commission in late summer.
"I love my work at the SEC and am keeping up with developments day by day. I look forward to returning to my duties full-time by around the 24th of January," he said in a statement.
Goldschmid is one of two Democrats with seats on the five member Commission. He is also a professor at Columbia University where he expects to resume teaching next fall.
