T. Rowe Price must have had a good year in 2004. George Roche and James Riepe each earned bonuses of $2.5 million from the Baltimore-based fund firm for their work in 2004. In each case the 2004 bonus marks a $500,000 increase over 2003.
Roche is chairman of the fund firm and Riepe is its vice chairman.
The fund firm reported 2004 profits that were up 48 percent from 2003.
Both Roche and Riepe are primarily compensated by their bonus and earned a base salary of just $300,000. That base was unchanged from 2003.
Meanwhile, Chief Investment Officer Brian Rogers earned a $2.8 million on top of a salary of $300,000.
