  • Sean  Hanna

  • Editor-in-Chief
    Sean is the founding publisher of InvestmentWires. Prior to 1997, he was an editor at New York City-based IOMA (now a part of BNA) where he oversaw IOMA's DC Plan Investing, the first publication to exclusively cover the 401(k) industry in 1992. He has spoken at industry conferences as an expert on the financial services industry, made appearances on CNBC and been quoted in numerous financial publications, including Money Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. He studied history at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Sean is responsible for all editorial appearing on MFWire.

  • Neil  Anderson

  • Managing Editor
    Before joining InvestmentWires, Neil worked as a string reporter for Suburban News Publications in Columbus, Ohio, where he covered local schools and politics. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Williams College. While at Williams, he wrote for and edited the campus humor magazine, The Mad Cow, and he wrote for The Williams Record. Neil is responsible for the day-to-day editorial oversight of MFWire. He also covers advisors for MFWire.

  • Katy  Golvala

  • Associate Reporter/Researcher
    Katy joined InvestmentWires in October 2016 from A.T. Kearney where she worked as a consultant specializing in the retail sector. Prior to that, she attended Williams College, double majoring in English Literature and Mathematics. In addition to reporting on the mutual fund industry, Katy also works on MFWire's research and data tools.

  • Lande  Asiru

    Landé graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a double major in Film and Media Studies and Dance. During her schooling, Landé played the main character Aida in an opera displayed at the renowned Granada Theater in Santa Barbara, California. In addition, she used her creative ability to work as a cinematographer and moderator for the Pollock Theater, known for bringing in renowned celebrities and screenwriters. Lande reports primarily for our sister publication, 401kWire.

  • Chelsea  Tyson

    Chelsea graduated from Regent University and joined InvestmentWires in 2016. Since high school, she has been pursuing a career in journalism. She believes that everyone has a story to tell and every experience has a lesson to be learned, and that has drawn and continues to draw her to become a reporter. In the past, Chelsea served as the editor-in-chief of her university's newspaper and wrote about startups and entrepreneurs as an intern for 1776, a D.C.-based startup incubator. Chelsea reports primarily for our sister publication, 401kWire.

    Marisa Santella is a senior at New York University, double majoring in Journalism and Environmental Science. She became interested in Journalism through her joy of communicating with others, and sharing their stories. Marisa also enjoys producing digital content, editing, and making the most of each day.     Sophie Alexander is a rising senior at Kenyon College majoring in Economics and Modern Languages with a focus on French and Arabic. She plans on pursuing a career in journalism after graduating next year. At Kenyon, Sophie plays soccer and writes for her campus' political magazine, The Kenyon Observer. In previous summers Sophie has interned at a street newspaper in Washington, D.C. and at WBUR, Boston's NPR affiliate. Sophie supports the MFWire editorial and research team.

    Waiho Zhang is a freshmen at the City University of New York at Baruch College currently majoring in Finance. He is interested in business journalism because he wants to learn more about the financial world and the way it operates so he can get more insight on which part of financial sector he wants to go into in the near future. Some of his hobbies include reading, hiking, and playing ping pong. Waiho supports the MFWire editorial and research team.

  • Jennifer  Qiao

    Jennifer Qiao is a rising junior at the University of St Andrews in Scotland pursuing a joint major in Economics and Mathematics. During the school year she works for their Economic Policy and Research Group, a student consultant group that works closely with the University's Economics department to develop nudge policies that will benefit the student body and facilitate operations within the department. Her hobbies include writing, figure skating, photography, and architecture. Jennifer supports the MFWire editorial and research team.

  • Samuel  O'Brient

    Samuel O'Brient is a rising senior at Sarah Lawrence College. Although he primarily studies economics, his academic interests include public policy and all manner of business communications. He serves as editor-in-chief of the SLC Economic Review, and Director of Outreach & Communications for Gryphon Capital, the college's investment club. After graduating, he intents to pursue a career in financial journalism. During the rare occasions that he steps away from the writer's desk, Samuel enjoys sailing, playing tennis, and obsessively checking his personal portfolio. Samuel supports the MFWire editorial and research team.

  • Adena  Baichan

    Adena Baichan is a rising senior at Pace University, majoring in Communication Studies and Journalism, which she has been pursuing since high school. She has worked as a contributing writer and regional editor-in-chief for the Odyssey Online. For Adena, writing has always been a route to expression, knowledge, and understanding. She believes that the power of journalism marks the difference between an aware, informed, and civically engaged public, and a misinformed, passive one. Along with journalistic writing, Adena also enjoys creative writing and dancing. Adena supports the MFWire editorial and research team.
