Bogle Blogs

Reported by Sean Hanna, Editor in Chief

John Bogle may be formally retired, but don't say that he is falling behind the times. The Vanguard founder and index fund visionary has built himself a Web soapbox in the form of a blog. That blog got a boost Tuesday when Instapundit's Glen Reynolds linked to the new site.

For those a little less with the times, a blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web site with short entries from an author shown, diarylike, in reverse chronological order. Blogs have become all the rage over the past two to three years.

Bogle himself admits in his first post that just a few months ago he "barely knew what on earth a blog was."

He intends to make the site interactive. Those efforts will include an "Ask Jack" section along with his postings and comments from readers.

So far, though, there is just one original posting on the site. The remainder of the entries are links to his speeches. Hopefully, Bogle is up to speed enough to realize that readers expect a daily entry. Otherwise, he may let that Instalaunch go to waste.
