"Analytic Investors has one of the most experienced teams in the
country dedicated to quantitative investing," said UAM Investment
Services president
James Pappas. "These portfolios represent a
significant addition to UAM Funds' broad lineup of investment
portfolios."
Analytic Investors' portfolio management team consists of de
Silva,
Bob Bannon,
Scott Barker,
Dennis Bein and
Greg McMurran.
Analytic, an affiliate of UAM since 1985, managed approximately $1
billion in equity and fixed-income assets, primarily for institutional investors, as of March 31, 1999.
