Ivy Management Inc. has named Richard Gluck senior vice president of fixed income, a newly created position, the company said today.

Gluck, 41, joined Ivy Funds fixed income department last year as vice president and portfolio manager. He was previously at Oppenheimer Capital where he was a vice president and portfolio manager of the global and emerging market portfolios for institutional clients.

In his new position, Gluck will oversee the fixed income strategy for the firm and manage the fixed income team.

He will be reporting directly to Keith Carlson, CEO and president of Mackenzie Investment Management. He is presently lead manager of Ivy International Strategic Bond Fund and Universal World Income RRSP Fund and co-manager of the Universal World Balanced RRSP Fund, both of which are distributed in Canada.
