George Whitmore, senior vice president and the soon-to-be national sales manager of the financial advisor division of
UAM Investment Services, Inc.,
the marketing and client servicing arm of
United Asset Management has moved cross-town to join institutional money manager
Standish Ayer & Wood (SAW) as vice president of advisor services.
Whitmore is reporting to
Tom Sorbo, the director of marketing for SAW, and will be responsible for sales and marketing of SAW's mutual fund and separately managed accounts products to the registered investment advisor community.
UAM Investment Services will soon be split into two divisions, one for the RIA and one for the broker/dealer channel, both reporting to
Ed Furlong, national sales director of UAM IS -- Whitmore would have been head of the RIA division.
