St. Paul-based
Fortis Financial Group has announced that
Gene Muenchau is the new vice president for variable annuities and mutual funds. In unrelated news, Berwyn, Pa.-based
Turner Investment Partners announced that six employees have been named principals and received equity in the company.
Muenchau, 50, spent the last 13 years as regional vice president for retail sales. He will be responsible for differentiating and promoting Fortis variable annuities and mutual funds, and will be reporting to
Roger Arnold, senior vice president for sales.
At the same time, Turner Investment Partners has announced that six people have become principals of the firm. The six are
Todd Bitzer, 34, business development;
Amy Duling, 32, director of marketing;
William McNett III, 40, client service;
Christopher Perry, 32, security analyst;
Debi Deyo Rossi, 33, performance specialist; and
Bruce Zewe, 52, director of communications.
This announcement is part of an ongoing Turner policy to distribute equity throughout its work force -- 28 of the 50 employees at Turner now are principals who are entitled to equity-like participation in the firm. Turner believes that this is an effective means of rewarding and retaining its staff.
