Ex-Putnam Exec Sentenced

Robin F. Kelly, 38, the former Putnam executive and Pembroke, Massachusetts resident, convicted of embezzling $78,709 from the fund firm was sentenced in federal court yesterday to three years of probation. She will serve the first six months in home detention.

European Fund Inflows Rebound

European investors are finding bargains in tech funds, reports the paper, while Asian investors remain cautious. Fund inflows in developed European markets rose 15 percent to $15.9 billion in October from $13.8 billion in September. This number still falls short of the April peak of $16.3 billion. Early reports are that flows were down slightly in November. Japanese funds saw net redemptions in October and November.
