Mutual of Omaha has teamed with Pioneer Investment Management for a new extranet site for brokers. The move marks a way for Pioneer to reuse technology originally developed for its own use. The site went live last summer and was publicly announced today.

The insurer is providing its own content for the site while Pioneer is providing technology developed by Pioneer's e-Commerce group. The fund firm developed the platform for its own broker site. Mutual of Omaha will make its newsletter available through the site.

The site will be cobranded between the two firms and Mutual of Omaha representatives access the password-protected site through www.pioneerfunds.com.

"This customized site is the result of a long-standing relationship between Pioneer and Mutual of Omaha," said Iang Jeon, managing director of Pioneer's e-Commerce group. "It represents Pioneer's commitment to leveraging technology to help our customers grow their businesses."
