Villanova Capital has lifted
Young D. Chin from
Brown Brothers Harriman to take over its investment team. Chin replaces
William Miller as the U.S. chief investment officer for both Villanova and Nationwide's Gartmore unit. Miller had been serving as U.S. chief investment officer an interim basis and will return to his duties as a portfolio manager for Gartmore and Nationwide.
Chin was managing director and head of equity, overseeing portfolio management, fundamental and quantitative research, and trading at Brown Brothers.
"Young Chin has produced an impeccable investment management and leadership record at every stage of an impressive career," said
Peter Chambers, chief investment officer for the two firms' global investment operations. "Moreover, he has consistently demonstrated a unique ability to successfully blend fundamental research, quantitative investment techniques, and equity trading to produce world-class investment management teams."
