Two for the PFPC Team

Reported by Tony Pennino

PFPC Alternative Investments Group, a unit of PFPC Inc., has hired Daniel Kalish and Eric Pisauro to its management team, a spokesperson with the firm told the MutualFundWire.com. The hirings were to aid in PFPC's efforts to expand its reach in the hedge fund business and to respond to the recent growth in that arena.

Kalish will serve as vice president and director, alternative investment services. Prior to this move, he held the position of director of operations at Brandywine Asset Management.

Pisauro will also hold the title of vice president and director, alternative investment services. His responsibilities include managing relationships with hedge fund and fund-of-fund clients. He will also oversee accounting and investor servicing staff. He joins PFPC from Quantitative Financial Strategies, Inc.

Both executives will be based in Wilmington, Delaware.

"PFPC's alternative investments business has grown significantly," added René Paradis, vice president and senior director, investment partnership services. "We are committed to supporting this growth with the best talent in the industry. Both Dan Kalish and Eric Pisauro have impressive records of accomplishment in alternative investments, and can provide the levels of service and expertise that our clients want and need."

Paradis told the MutualFundWire.com that PFPC has always been involved in the alternate investment business, but as that business expands so would the firm's efforts to meet current and potential clients' needs.

And do not expect PFPC to stop here with additions to its executive suite. "As we continue to expand, we will continue to look for talent in this area," Paradis concluded.
