Delaware's Sales Team Expands

Delaware Investments [profile] has announced that it's expanding its distribution team with new hires and added a new distribution territory.

Bryce Bulman has signed on as a regional director for the firms's new Chicago territory, representing mutual funds and managed accounts, and reporting to . A Delaware Investments spokesperson told MFWire that this brings the firm up to twenty-nine distribution territories. Bulman is leaving Allianz, where he worked with retail managed accounts and mutual funds.

Delaware also added five internal consultants to its distro team, who'll work out of the firm's main offices in Philadelphia: Christian Fano, who was hired from BlackRock; Todd Ivison, most recently from Merrill Lynch; Michael McDonald, from Janney Montgomery Scott; Diego Sarmiento, formerly of MetLife; and Ross Rutman, from Merrill Lynch.

On the investments side, Delaware also hired Daniel Ko as a senior equity analyst for the emerging markets team.

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Capitalizing on sales strength throughout 2012, Delaware Investments adds senior equity analyst Daniel Ko, regional director Bryce Bulman, and five new internal consultants.

Investments

Daniel Ko joins the firm’s Emerging Markets equities team as a senior equity analyst, reporting to Liu-Er Chen, chief investment officer for emerging markets and healthcare. Ko comes to Delaware Investments from Putnam Investments, where he had been a research analyst since 2009. Prior to that, he developed global currency and commodity strategies at JPMorgan Chase.

Ko started with Delaware Investments on June 6, 2012.

Distribution

In distribution, Bryce Bulman joins Delaware Investments as regional director supporting Chicago, a newly created territory for the firm, where he represents Delaware Investments®mutual funds and managed accounts. Bulman joins Delaware Investments from Allianz Global Investors, where he helped grow that firm’s retail managed account and mutual fund business.

Further expanding its solid distribution channel, Delaware Investments recently added five new internal consultants. Christian Faino comes to the firm from BlackRock Investments, where he worked as an internal advisor consultant, with expertise in a broad spectrum of investment products. Todd Ivison most recently worked at Merrill Lynch as a premier financial services advisor. Michael McDonald joins the firm from Janney Montgomery Scott, where he was a managed account consultant. Diego Sarmiento was previously an internal sales specialist for MetLife, and Ross Rutman comes to the firm from Merrill Lynch, where he was a financial solutions advisor.

Bulman, Ivison, McDonald, and Sarmiento started with the firm on June 4, 2012. Rutman started on June 12, and Faino started on June 13.
