Investors may actually be taking a look at fund company's annual reports, thanks to Chuck Jaffe. In his January 27th column, Jaffe advises investors to keep the question of "Did my fund and my manager do what I would have expected them to do in this kind of investment environment?" when looking at papers they receive. He also advises investors to look for any portfolio management changes, what to expect in the next 12 months, and performance against a specific benchmark.
