Fundsters intrigued by Vanguard's [see profile] new Annuity Access program may want to check out the Wall Street Journal. Tom Lauricella reports on the new Vanguard platform, powered by Hueler Companies' Income Solutions. The Vanguard offering came to light a month ago (see The MFWire, 9/9/2010).

The WSJ also mentions other online annuities services, including one from Fidelity [see profile], another called ImmediateAnnuities.com and a third, brkdirect.com, backed by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Life Insurance.
