Pimco [see profile] co-chief investment officer Bill Gross, Gamco [see profile] chief Mario Gabelli, BlackRock's iShares unit [see profile] and Fidelity [see profile] all have something new to cheer about.

Today Institutional Investor awarded Gross its "Money Management Lifetime Achievement Award," while Gabelli won "Money Manager of the Year." BlackRock landed "U.S. Investment Management Awards" for exchange-traded funds and Fidelity won for mutual funds. The trade pub will honor the winners at a ceremony on Monday, May 16 at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City.
