The former head of Morningstar’s investment unit has taken a new job. Thomas Florence has joined Denver-based Dividend Capital Trust. The asset manager, which focus on REIT investments hired Florence as the president of its distribution arm Dividend Capital Securities. Florence was the president of Morningstar Investment Services until December 2002. He was the founding head of the unit that provides managed account solutions to investment advisors. The firm hired Art Lutschaunig from Fidelity Investments to take over Florence's duties.
