Szilagyi Grows His Sales Team by Five

Jerry Szilagyi, CEO of Catalyst Funds [profile] is expanding his sales team, with four new hires, and one promotion.

Christopher Ciprietti has been promoted from internal wholesaler to external wholesaler, he will be responsible for Texas and Oklahoma. Joining him as an external is John Coon, who joins Catalyst from Lightstone Capital Markets, where he was business development director, he will cover Orange County and San Diego. A spokesperson for Lightstone could not be reached for comment.

On the internal wholesaler front, Rob Silvestri, Sara Petrick, and James Bedrock, all join Catalyst as new hires. Silvestri was most recently a financial consultant for Capital One, and before that was a financial advisor for Edward Jones Investments. Petrick is joining the Catalyst team from West Coast Schedulers a scheduling company for wholesalers that she started in 2015. Bedrock was most recently an internal wholesaler at Prudential Investments. Spokespeople from their previous employers could not immediately comment.

Silvestri's responsibilities include Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware. Petrick will take Southern California, Southern Nevada and Hawaii. Bedrock will handle Texas and Oklahoma.

These are all new positions Szilagyi tells MFWire, their addition will bring the total sales team up to 44.

Ciprietti is an alumnus of Widener University, Coon attended UCLA, Petrick is an alumna of UT Austin, Silvestri attended SUNY Albany, and Bedrock attended Washington College.
