While most of us were readying for the holidays, National City Investment Management Co (NCIMC) spent December spreading holiday cheer by adding staff.

The Cleveland, Ohio-based manager to the Armada Funds hired Robert Joseph away from Northern Trust Global Investments as a managing director of consultant relations. Joseph worked in product management, consultant relations and client servicing at Northern Trust.

National City also announced that Dave Vandergriff joined as director of institutional sales and Beth Hetzel as senior vice president and managing director of product management. Hertzel joined the firm in September.

A National City spokeswoman did not immediately return a call seeking comment on their hire dates.

Peter Kurrie and Steve Eitel also joined National City's client service group, leaving Banc One Investment Advisors.
