Eliot Spitzer has turned away $24,000 in campaign donations from Mario Gabelli of Gabelli Asset Management, reports the New York Times.

Gabelli made the donation on December 9, 2004, according to records with the New York State Board of Elections. Spitzer's office had made inquiries into the firm, but have not made any allegations against the money manager.

Spitzer has a total of $12.3 in his Spitzer 2006 warchest, according to the Times.
