Reported by Neil Anderson, Managing Editor

Enrique Chang just left American Century [profile], and no replacement has yet been named.

Yesterday the Kansas City, Missouri-based mutual fund shop revealed that Chang, American Century's chief investment officer and executive vice president, stepped down on Friday "to pursue other opportunities." According to American Century, the six discipline CIOs will report directly to president and CEO Jonathan Thomas until he finds Chang's successor.

Chang first took the top investing job at the mutual fund shop in 2007.
