ICON Names National Sales Manager

ICON Advisors has tapped both a national sales manager and expanded its ranks of regional wholesalers. The Greenwood Village-based firm said that it created the national sales manager post and filled it by promoting Elvis Medica. ICON also hired one wholesaler and promoted an existing executive to a second wholesaler post.

Before his promotion, Medica was the regional vice president in charge of sales in the northeast United States. To fill that vacated post, ICON hired Samuel Flamma, Jr. to cover the region. Flamma had been a regional vice president for RTE Asset Management.

ICON also promoted Joseph Green to regional vice president for the southwestern United States. He had been an internal sales associate for the region since 2003.

Medica was covered the northeast since joining ICON in 2002. Before that, he had been a regional sales manager for KeyCorp's McDonald Investments. He also serves as a Captain in the Ohio Army National Guard and served a 10-month deployment in Afghanistan in 2004

"Elvis will manage and supervise ICON's external sales team to successfully implement ICON's multi-product, multi-channel distribution plan," said Stephen C. Holmes, executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer. "This promotion recognizes the outstanding contribution Elvis has made to ICON Advisers, Inc. and leverages the leadership qualities gained during his military service."
