Friday, July 15, 2005 Putnam's Marrkand Resigns Putnam has tapped a new portfolio member for two of its mutual funds following the resignation of Paul Marrkand. Marrkand left Putnam to take another money management opportunity. Where he went could not be immediately learned. Marrkand was the co-portfolio leader on Putnam Vista Fund and Putnam New Opportunities Fund. Kevin Ditney, Marrkand's partner on the funds and chief investment officer for Putnam's Mid Cap Growth Equity team, will continue as portfolio leader of the two funds. In addition, Brian M. DeChristopher will join the portfolio management team for the two funds. DeChristopher had been an analyst on the mid cap growth equity team.
