Thursday, July 28, 2005 Guardian Hires Park Avenue Manager Manind Govil has joined Guardian Investor Services to manage the $1 billion Guardian Park Avenue Fund and the Guardian Stock Fund. Govil will become head of equity investments at the Guardian Life subsidiary. Govil leaves Mercantile Capital Advisors, where he was co-head of equities, head of equity research and portfolio manager for the Mercantile Growth & Income Fund. Richard Goldman previously managed the Park Avenue Fund but left in March of 2005. Small-cap managers Tom Sorell and Matthew Ziehl managed the fund on an interim basis.
