Ameriprise Moves to World Trade Center

Recent American Express spin-off Ameriprise is taking the plunge as one of the first signed tenants in the newly rebuilt 7 World Trade Center. The firm received a number of incentives to take the 20,000 square foot space, including a special $7.60 per square foot incentive and a permanent waiver of its commercial rent tax.

Last month the New York Academy of Science signed the first lease for space in the new World Trade Center complex, according to Crain's New York Business.

The Ameriprise space, which covers half of one floor, will hold offices for 50 New York City-based emploees for the Minneapolis-based firm.

The lease will run for 10 years.
