Janus To Add Fund

Janus Capital is looking to roll out a mutual fund that acts like a hedge fund.

The Janus Adviser Long/Short Fund is aimed at "long-term investors who seek a risk-adjusted investment option which has a lower correlation to the overall equity market," the Denver-based firm said in a regulatory filing on Thursday.

Matthew Ankrum and David Decker will manage the fund, which will take both long and short positions in domestic and foreign stocks. The fund will offer shares in five classes: A, C, I, R and S.
