Newest Fund Sates Wm Blair's Appetite
William Blair Funds has added a mid cap fund to its stable of offerings. The Chicago-based launched the William Blair Mid Cap Growth Fund, bringing the total number of funds in its fold to 15.
The fund will invest 80 percent of its assets in stocks of companies with market capitalizations between $1.5 billion and $14 billion. It will be co-managed by Harvey Bundy, Robert Lanphier and David Ricci, all of whom are principals at the firm.
At the moment, there are no plans to launch more funds, a spokesman said.
Total assets in the William Blair Funds hit $10 billion as of January 24, the firm said.
