SEC Taps PWC Exec For Northeast Office

The Securities and Exchange Commission has tapped Thomas Biolsi as associate regional director for examinations in its Northeast Regional Office (NERO). Biolsi, who will take on the post in mid-June, will be tasked with directing a staff of accountants and examiners responsible for the inspection of investment advisers and investment companies in the region.

Biolsi, who has served as managing director in the regulatory compliance group at Pricewaterhouse Coopers for the last nine years, is no stranger to NERO. Earlier in his career, he worked as a staff examiner and then branch chief in the Investment Adviser Examination Program in NERO for nine years.

He then spent seven years at Prudential Insurance Company of America, where he served as compliance director and later, chief compliance officer, before joining PWC.
