Friday, March 30, 2007 Spitzer: 1, Liberty Mutual: 0 Reuters reports that a New York state lawsuit accusing insurer Liberty Mutual of rigging bids and paying kickbacks to brokers can go forward after a state judge denied the insurer’s attempt to dismiss it. The case was brought by the infamous Eliot Spitzer. The judge ruled that Spitzer lacked jurisdiction over the Boston-based parent company, Liberty Mutual Holding Co.
