MediaWatch: An Ignites Reporter Heads to Bloomberg

Christine Ong has resigned her position of annuities reporter at Ignites, according to a spokeswoman for Money-Media. She has been hired as a producer for Bloomberg Television Asia.

Ong was the last remaining member of Ignites' senior reporting team, following the departures earlier this year of Tom Leswing, Bonnie Baumann and Lisa Lacy. Ignites will be hiring to fill Ong's position.

Richard Kellerhals has joined Source Media's Bank Loan Report as a reporter. Institutional Investor's Defined Contribution and Savings Plan Alert was Kellerhals' previous home, where he was a reporter.

It appears from the masthead that Liman Cheng is still an associate reporter and that Andrew Coen has been tapped to replace Kellerhals as a reporter at DC News. Max Heuer, the managing editor of DC News, did not return a call for comment.

Carol Clouse, Source Media's editor of structured finance, could not immediately be reached for comment on Kellerhals' move or on whether or not his position is a new one.

Bloomberg just hired a new mutual funds reporter. Chris Condon will be based out of the firm's Boston office. He was previously with the Financial Times.
