Star Manager Streaks in Trouble as the Market Sinks

In today's WSJ Fund Track column, Murray Coleman reports that more that a dozen fund managers are struggling to keep alive their streaks of beating their benchmarks. In the past 8 years, some 27 stock managers have beat their benchmarks every year. This time, however, according to Morningstar, almost 60 percent of the 27 are trailing their indexes. The Cambiar Opportunity Fund, the Templeton World Fund, the Oakmark International Fund and the Oakmark International Small Cap Fund are among those who are trailing their respective indexes for the year.
