BlackRock's Vice Chairman to Leave Company

Blackrock's vice chairman, global chief investment officer for fixed income and co-founder, Keith Anderson, is leaving the company.

According to a letter sent to clients by BlackRock vice chairman Barbara Novick on December 12, Anderson will take on an advisory role at the New York-headquartered money manager until March, then will depart to manage his own investment fund.

Taking over for Anderson as vice chair and global CIO for fixed income is Scott Amero, an 18-year BlackRock veteran and has co-headed the firm's fixed income unit with Anderson for much of that time, according to the letter.

Amero will be joined by Peter Fisher as co-head of the group. Fisher is currently chairman of BlackRock Asia.
