Goldman Goes to India


Goldman Sachs has gotten the regulatory greenlight to put up a mutual fund business in India, Reuters reports. Adam Broder will serve as chief executive of Goldman Sachs Asset Management Company and Prashant Khemka will serve as chief investment officer.

Other firms that have launched mutual fund operations in India in the past 18 months include AIG and JPMorgan.
