Sun Life Shops for U.S. Assets

Canadian insurance giant Sun Life Financial may not be in the market for U.S. companies but it does have some interest in the market. Kevin Dougherty, president of the global investments unit at SunLife, told Bloomberg that the firm hopes to buy assets for its U.S. asset management subsidiary, MFS Investment Management. Sun Life also owns 37 percent of Canadian fund company CI Financial.
