A Fido Vet Tweets a Retirement Income Tune

The continued growth of blogs has spread to the retirement industry, specifically to retirement income. In December, Fidelity veteran David Glickman launched the Retirement Income Practice Management blog (at ripmblog.blogspot.com/), and you can follow his thoughts on your cell phone via Twitter as well.

"Social media in general is playing a much bigger role in networking," Glickman told The MFWire, adding that he's also active on LinkedIn and blog catalogs.

In addition to getting his own voice out there to the industry, Glickman also aims to reach advisors, as he worries that most retirement income discussions focus on product, not process.

"What does it [retirement income] mean for me, day-to-day, running my practice?" Glickman asked rhetorically. "Advisors want to know."

Glickman left Fidelity last year after spending 10 years at the Boston Behemoth. He most recently served as vice president of strategic marketing at Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company.
