Friday, April 3, 2009 Am Century, W&R Win Lipper "Best Fund Group Overall" Awards Lipper held its annual awards bash at The Plaza Hotel in midtown Manhattan Thursday night. American Century Investment Management and Waddell & Reed Investment Management took home the "Best Fund Group Overall" awards in the large and small fund company categories, respectively. Lipper, a unit of Thomson Reuters, handed out a total of eight group trophies. It also presented trophies to 35 funds that topped their respective Lipper classifications and presented certificates to additional winners in the smaller classifications. Fidelity bagged a total of 25 individual awards, Vanguard received 15, BlackRock won 10 and American Century went home with 10. Click here to view the complete list of winners.
