Wednesday, June 17, 2009 Barclays to Back BlackRock's Deal with $1.2 Billion in Financing Barclays Capital will provide $1.2 billion in financing for BlackRock's $13.5 billion deal to acquire Barclays Global Investors, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday. When BlackRock unveiled the purchase Thursday last week, it said that a group of banks, including Barclays, Citi and Credit Suisse, will provide the company with a new 364-day revolving credit facility of up to $2.0 billion (see The MFWire, 06/11/09).
