San Francisco-based Foreman will oversee the equity research, portfolio management, quantitative strategies and equity trading teams. From 1994 to 2006, Foreman was group managing director and chief investment officer of U.S. equities at Trust Company of the West. Earlier, he worked at Putnam Investments.
