Wednesday, July 29, 2009 Calamos is the Latest to Banish B Shares Effective Friday, July 31, Calamos Asset Management, Inc. will join the list of fund firms that have jettisoned their B shares. Current shareholders may continue to hold Class B shares as of the closing date until they convert them to Class A shares or redeem those shares. In a notice posted on its Web site, Calamos noted that the use of B shares has "fallen off significantly in recent years."
