Ron Baron Ends His Hunt for a Distribution Head

After a two-and-a-half month search, Baron Capital Group has found a new chief distribution officer. New York City-based Baron hired David Feldman, who used to run intermediary distribution at Columbia Management, sources told The MFWire.

Feldman fills the shoes vacated by Brian Jacobs, who left Baron last October after eight months on the job.

Prince Houston Group, the same search firm that helped Janus with its recent CEO hunt, assisted Baron with its search, according to one source.

Feldman could not be contacted for comment. Baron CEO Ron Baron could not immediately be reached for comment, as was Prince Houston's Marylin Prince.

Most recently, Feldman led intermediary distribution at Columbia, which he left last March. He left the firm months before Bank of America inked a deal to sell Columbia's long-term asset management business to Ameriprise.
