A Senior Exec is Leaving Janus

Dan Charles is leaving Janus to become global head of distribution for William Blair Investment Management effective March 10. Charles, who currently runs Janus' U.S. institutional and international divisions, will be in charge of expanding William Blair's mutual fund, intermediary and institutional businesses.

He will report to Michelle Seitz, head of William Blair Investment Management.

Charles' last day at Janus is March 5, Janus spokesman James Aber told The MFWire.

Janus has launched a search for a new head of the international business, Aber said. Janus' newly installed CEO, Dick Weil, will serve as head of the international business on an interim basis.

The U.S. institutional team will report into Robin Beery, head of intermediary distribution.

"She will work with them to ensure that we have the right distribution structure to allow Janus, Intech and Perkins to continue to maximize investment results for our clients," Aber told The MFWire.
