Aim Shuffles Managers


The Houston-based Aim Funds, a subsidiary of Amvescap (AVZ) has announced several changes to the management of its $112 billion fund family.

Steve Cao has been added to the portfolio management team of AIM Asian Growth Fund. Employed by Aim since 1997, Cao has been an international equity analyst with a focus on Asia (ex-Japan) until assuming his present duties.

Roger J. Mortimer has been added to the portfolio management teams for AIM Global Health Care Fund, AIM Global Consumer Products and Services Fund, and AIM Global Resources Fund. Mortimer joined GT Global in 1997 as a portfolio manager. The GT Global Funds were acquired by the AIM in 1998.

Michael Yellen has also been added to the management team for AIM Global Consumer Products and Services Fund and AIM Global Resources Fund. Yellen has been with AIM and its affiliated companies since 1994. Prior to that he had been a senior securities analyst at Franklin Resources Inc.

Derek H. Webb has also been added to the management team for AIM Global Health Care Fund. Webb has been with AIM and its affiliated companies since 1992 and has served as head of theme fund investing since January 1997.

Christopher P. Perras has been added to the portfolio management team of AIM Small Cap Opportunities Fund. Perras joined AIM earlier this year from Van Wagoner Capital Management where he was an equity analyst focusing primarily on mid- and small-cap stocks from 1997 to 1999.

Kevin E. Rogers has been added to the management team for AIM Global Income Fund. Rogers joined AIM in 1991 as senior research analyst for high-yield fixed-income investments and became a portfolio manager in 1995.

Kieron J. Nutbrown has been added to the management team for AIM Strategic Income Fund and AIM Global Government Income Fund. Nutbrown has been with INVESCO Asset Management Ltd., and its affiliates, since 1997. Prior to joining INVESCO, he was a fixed income portfolio manager with Foreign & Colonial Management.

James O. Baker has been added to the management team for AIM Advisor Flex Fund. Baker joined INVESCO Capital Management, the Atlanta-based investment management affiliate of INVESCO Funds Group, in 1992.
