Eggers Whirlwind


Thomas Eggers has accepted the position of president and ceo of Scudder Investments. Formerly, Eggers had served as president of The Dreyfus Corporation and chairman and ceo of Dreyfus Service Corporation.

At his new firm, Eggers will report to William Shiebler, ceo of Deutsche Asset Management in the Americas. The executive will have oversight for all areas of business at Scudder Investments.

Over at Dreyfus, Michael Millard has been named to replace Eggers. Before his promotion, Millard was in charge of both the internal and external sales forces for Dreyfus' long-term funds. Other people moves at that firm include promotions for Charles Cardona, who will serve as vice chairman, and Diane Durnin, who will serve as executive vice president.

Prior to his tenure at Dreyfus, Eggers logged in 17 years at PaineWebber where was a managing director for the Mitchell Hutchins business.
