Jones & Babson Appoints New Director of Institutional Sales

Jones and Babson, Inc., a leading provider of mutual fund products and services, announced today that Michael J. Dailey, a veteran sales and marketing professional, has joined the Kansas City based firm as director of institutional sales, a new position for the firm.

In his new position, Dailey is responsible for developing strategic marketing and communications plans and programs for Jones & Babson institutional clients to help them reach their business and revenue objectives. Dailey will be reporting to Rui Moura, vice president and chief marketing officer for Jones & Babson.

Moura said, "We are thrilled to have Michael come aboard our growing marketing team. He brings with him a great deal of experience and an innovative approach to marketing mutual fund products in the institutional marketplace. We are certain that his 'relationship- oriented' approach will benefit our institutional clients and our company."

Prior to joining Jones & Babson, Dailey was a principal at MJD Consulting, where he advised investment advisory firms, mutual funds and others on marketing related issues. Before that, he was managing director of sales for First Summit Capital Management, a registered investment advisory firm. He also served as senior vice president and national sales manager at Institutional Funds Group. The group was originally part of Shearson/Lehman until it was spun off to Lazard Freres & Company. In 1989, the group was purchased by Scudder, Stevens & Clark.
