BT Develops New Fund

Bankers Trust is launching the BT Pyramid International Developed Market Fund in June. The fund is targeted at the ERISA market including the bank's large pension clients.

The fund will invest in developed markets outside of the United States. Areas of investment will include Continental Europe, the United Kingdom, Japan and Canada. It will exclude investments in emerging markets. Bankers Trust's International Equity team, including Rob Reiner and Michael Levy will advise the fund.

"Institutional investors increasingly have diversified their investments to include international markets over the past decade," said Virginia Sirusas, managing director of institutional sales. "Now we see a revival of the trend by some pension clients to allocate to international markets according to both developed and emerging markets. To meet the needs of these plan sponsors, we believe it is natural for us to bring a dedicated international developed markets fund to the pension community."
