"As plan participants have become more sophisticated investors, they are looking for retirement plans that offer a range of investment options, not simply a few basic investment options. As a result, plan sponsor interest in multi-manager plans has also increased," said Tom Bruns, president. The vendor is also adding funds from such firms as Founders, American Century, Janus, and Strong Capital Management. "Outside funds allow us to expand our offerings with investment options that have admirable track records and excellent performance potential, which is an integral component of qualified plans," added Bruns. Share classes of the Scudder funds now open to retirement plans will be designated as "R" class. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=25198 Copyright 1999, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
