In order to concentrate marketing on the upcoming sector offerings, it has created the position of vice president of sectors and hired Jeffrey Omdahl, the former western regional sales manager at Rydex Funds to fill the position. Omdahl will be responsible for marketing ProFunds' new sector funds to financial intermediaries. Rydex, meanwhile has been undergoing some wholesaler re-arranging of its own, opening two new "regional hub" offices in mid-February in Denver and Boston and creating new wholesaler positions to fill those offices. As part of that restructuring, the Santa Barbara office where Omdahl had worked was closed and the regional sales manager position re-assigned, according to a company spokesperson.
