Wednesday, December 13, 2000 Reps Phone Home! Reps looking for sales support from Franklin Templeton Distributors now can turn to the Web. This week the firm added a lookup feature that enables reps to look up contact info on their regional wholesaler, internal wholesaler and national sales manager. Franklin added the tool to simplify process by which reps contact the fund firm, explained Monica Green, business analyst with Franklin Templeton's Web group. The system went live Tuesday (Dec. 12) and she added that internal wholesalers are already receiving calls. To use the service reps use a menu to pick their division and territory located in the "contact us" section of the investment representative Web site. They then are shown the contact info which includes the phone number and for the internal wholesaler, an email address. Franklin is divided into for divisions: wirehouse/regional, financial advisor, financial institution and business retirement plans. "We give our investment representatives the information they need through tools that are easy to access and use," said Jenny Bolt, chief web officer. "This new feature is part of our ongoing development of franklintempleton.com as a functional resource for our representatives."
