Thursday, January 11, 2001 Teeing Off to College The Enterprise Group of Funds has added another component to its PGA campaign. It will give out a total of $25,000 to students over the course of the year. The scholarship comes as part of the firm's effort to reach the golfing community. Enterprise is the only mutual fund exhibitor at Bloomberg's ExpoVillage, which will be touring PGA events. "If you look at the demographics of golfers, they are great potential investors in the mutual fund industry," said Victor Ugolyn, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Enterprise. Ten high school students, half male and half female, will receive $2,500 each. The first awards will be announced in the beginning of March at the Honda Classic, with further competitions running through September. Students must be involved in some way with golf. Conditions of eligibility and applications are available at the National Association of Golf Coaches and Educators website.
