Covering All the Bases

John Hancock Financial Institutions Group has added five new positions to its sales force. While two are wholesalers who deal exclusively with insurance products, the firm has also appointed two divisional vice presidents responsible for the full product line and a wholesaler that handles investment products. According to a Hancock spokesperson, the move indicates a strong move on the part of the the Boston-based firm.

Arnold Garron, a Hancock wholesaler from a different channel, has been promoted to divisional vice president of the Mid-Atlantic, New York, New England, and Great Lakes regions.

William P. Martina is now divisional vice president of the Southeast, South Central, and West regions. Martina comes from an unnamed Internet-based insurance product distributor, where he was executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

John D. Mullen has become an annuity and mutual fund wholesaler in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. Mullen had most recently been a regional vice president for broker-dealers at an unnamed group of financial services companies.
